KITCHEN, LIVING & FAMILY BATHROOM RENOVATION

Family home in Nunhead

Kitchen & Bathroom reno

Rachael and Michael initially approached me to help reconfigure their kitchen and upstairs bathroom, feeling stuck with layouts that simply weren’t working for their home or family life. They needed clarity, direction and a solution that balanced practicality with a considered design approach.

We began by reworking the ground floor to create a more functional and social kitchen, incorporating a new boot room and downstairs WC, alongside a full redesign of the family bathroom upstairs. Each space was carefully planned to improve flow, maximise storage and create a home that felt intuitive to live in.

Following the success of the first phase, I was brought back to redesign the hallways, staircases and reception rooms — creating a more cohesive and connected feel throughout the house. The focus shifted towards layering material, improving transitions between spaces and refining the overall atmosphere of the home.

Throughout both phases, the process remained collaborative, with careful attention given to balancing differing ideas and ensuring the final design felt resolved and personal. I also oversaw procurement and the build stages, ensuring the design was carried through with consistency and attention to detail.

The result is a home that feels calm, considered and reflective of how Rachael and Michael want to live — practical for everyday life, yet elevated in its overall feel.
